Swings The Thing Presents
The Glenn Miller Story

Glenn Miller was without doubt the most successful big band leader of all time. We tell his story in music, starting with his 1939 Carnegie Hall Concert. Then comes what we refer to as the lucrative years when every other record in the Juke Box was a Glenn Miller hit. We play the music he performed during the ASCAP ban when even his signature tune had to be changed. We bring you highlights from his movies, Sun Valley Serenade and Orchestra Wives. Finally we will play a selection of music by the AAF Orchestra which as you are no doubt aware was based nearby in Milton Ernest.
