Legally Blonde
Omigod you guys! Harvard’s beloved blonde takes to the stage in Kettering this April in a fun, feel-good story of self discovery. This international award-winning story follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Based on the novel and the hit-movie of the same name, Legally Blonde: the Musical chronicles the journey of the famously perky Elle Woods: a fashion-savvy, UCLA sorority girl who finds her life turned upside down when she is dumped by her boyfriend Warner. In an effort to prove to Warner that she is more than just some blonde sorority girl she follows him to Harvard Law, where she struggles to fit in and do well. Ultimately, she defies expectations and manages to stay true to her delightfully pink personality!
Produced by the award winning team who brought you RENT, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Grease in 2023, this is an action-packed musical not to be missed! Local performers and musicians will explode on the stage with memorable songs, dynamic dances and, of course, Elle’s pet chuhuahua!
Parental Guidance: This stage musical is based on the film which has a BBFC rating of 12, and contains mild language and some sexual references.
Please note – the matinee performance on Saturday 27th April will be a relaxed performance where elements of the show are adapted to reduce anxiety or stress. This performance welcomes those who would like to see the show in a less formal atmosphere. Whilst the narrative of the production remains unchanged, sound levels may be reduced and house lighting will be increased.
